Prominent plate from the service King Louis-Philippe
Commissioned in 1835 by the French king for the hunting lodge Fontainebleau at the porcelain manufactory Sèvres, design Jean-Charles François Leloy 1836-1839, green stamp mark p.67, once cancelled, blue mark of the painting workshop dated 1846 and red special mark Chàteau de F(ontaine) Bleau, smooth-rimmed, slightly moulded form, richly decorated with polychrome onglaze painting over line overprint and gold staffage as repeating decoration of game motifs, scroll and foliage as well as cartouches with attributes resp. Monogram LP with crown on the flag, in the mirror central rosette and meander band as well as gold rims, rosette minimally scratched, otherwise good condition, D 24,5 cm.
