Antique reception "La chasse (The Hunt)"
Designed by Étienne Maurice Falconet (1716 Paris to 1791 ibid.) c. 1788, France, 19th century, Incised letter H, faience body glazed white, naturalistic design, Diana, Roman goddess of the hunt, reclining on an irregular rock base, in conversation with one of her nymphs, flanked by a bow, quiver and killed deer as well as a putto with hunting dog, counterpart to the figural group "La pêche", glaze minimally rubbed, two feet bumped and one foot of the putto cracked, h 28 cm.
