Woman, putting on make-up in front of a mirror for the performance, c. 1930, inscribed in lead below the image "Monotypie aus dem Zirkus-Zyklus v. Gustav Hetzer" and number "II", somewhat yellowed, slight creases and a little light-stained, dimensions of image c. 35 x 28 cm, dimensions of sheet c. 50 x 37 cm. Artist info: German painter and graphic artist (1907 Sonneberg to 1947 Sonneberg), 1926-30 master student of Julius Hess at the Academy of Arts in Munich, 1931-34 stays in Italy, also active as illustrator and photographer for the Sonneberger Zeitung, after the war co-founder of the Bildende Kunst group in the Kulturbund, shot by a Russian officer in 1947, source: matriculae of the Academy of Arts in Munich, internet.
