titled "Burgen an der Saale", "Alte Ilmbrücke i. Bad Sulza", "Die Eckartsburg" and untitled (Eckartsburg), lithographs on light cardboard, three works dated "1983" and signed "K. Holfeld", unframed, image dimensions approx. 23 x 34 cm, sheet dimensions max. approx. 37.5 x 50 cm. Artist's info: German painter, graphic artist and restorer (1921 Georgswalde/Czechoslovakia until 2009 Bad Sulza), apprenticeship as decorative painter, Reichsarbeitsdienst, soldier in the 2nd World War, 1944-46 French war. World War II, 1944-46 French prisoner of war, 1949-53 studied at the art academies of Weimar and Dresden with Otto Herbig and Hans Grundig, from 1953 resident in Bad Sulza, 1985-89 restoration of the baptistery and altar of the Seemannskirche in Prerow, member of the VBK of the GDR, source: Vollmer, Eisold "Künstler in der DDR" and Wikipedia.
