abstract depiction of a cross, elaborate colour etching, partly with embossing, signed in lead "Dahmen" under the depiction on the right, numbered and dated "16/50 1971" on the left and titled "Kreuzformation" in the centre, embossed stamp "edition rothe" in the lower left corner of the sheet, light-stained, several tears in the paper margin, but not affecting the depiction, dimensions of the depiction approx. 79 x 55,5 cm, sheet dimensions ca. 104,5 x 78 cm. Artist's info: German artist (1917 Stolberg/Rheinland until 1981 Preinersdorf), 1932 until its closure in 1933 attendance of the 'Kunstgewerbeschule Aachen', 1936-38 apprenticeship as commercial artist, 1939-45 military service and war captivity, 1952 together with other artists foundation of the 'Neue Aachener Gruppe', 1953 through contacts in France organisation of the first German-French exhibition after World War II, from 1959 member of the 'Gruppe Aachen'.
