Artist's book with 14 double-page colour woodcuts and three woodcut vignettes by Konrad Schmid on 18 senryu (three-line texts based on traditional Japanese short poems), published as the 23rd printing by Burgartpresse in Rudolstadt in 2000. Printed by Burgartpresse in Rudolstadt in 2000, printed on Japan Bunkoshi, woodblocks printed by Winfried Henkel/Viernau, bookbinding by Ludwig Vater/Jena, edition of 70 copies, of which 50 copies were intended for sale, here copy "XVII", signed by Konrad Schmid and Ingo Cesaro in the imprint, bound in a red linen folder, book measures approx. 43 x 45 cm. Artist's info Konrad Schmid, German graphic artist (born 1959 in Rotthalmünster), 1974-77 apprenticeship as typesetter, 1980-92 worked as letterpress and offset printer as well as graphic artist, since 1982 occupied with different graphic techniques, since 1987 exclusively with woodblock prints, since 1992 freelance, since 1993 self-published editions, 2000-16 studio in Passau, source: Internet presence of the artist. Artist's info Ingo Cesaro: German writer (born 1941 in Kronach), apprenticeship as industrial clerk, studied at the Academy for Long Distance Trade in Frankfurt am Main, since 1975 resident in Kronach, worked at the publishing house Dittmer, 1982-84 studied practical business administration, since 1989 active as freelance writer, publicist and cultural manager.
