Siegfried Hauffe, Winter im Vogtland
Late winter landscape with remnants of snow that have not yet melted and a wide view of the hills of the Vogtland, watercolour, 2nd half 20th century, signed lower right "S. Hauffe", framed under mount and behind glass, mount cut-out approx. 40 x 30 cm. Artist's info: German animal, hunting and landscape painter as well as illustrator (1923 Plauen to 1997 Plauen), studied 1937-41 at the Plauen art school with Walther Löbering and Kurt Geipel, from 1945 freelance, member of the Verband Bildender Künstler (VBK) of the GDR, active in Plauen-Kauschwitz, Source: Vollmer, Eisold " Künstler in der DDR", Frank Weiß "Malerei im Vogtland" and Wikipedia.
