Still life with marionette in blue overalls and green hat and five colourful masks with various faces, hardly impasto painting with broad brushstroke in strong colours, oil on plywood, 2nd half 20th century, signed lower left "G. Sch.", isolated injuries in the picture support from the time of origin, somewhat in need of cleaning, framed, folding dimensions approx. 79.5 x 70 cm. Artist info: German painter and draughtsman (1930 Plauen to 1999 Plauen), 1946-50 apprenticeship as a decorative and sign painter, from 1955 attended courses at the Schneeberg Art School and the Dresden College of Fine Arts (HBK), friendly encouragement by the Vogtland painter Fredo Bley, from 1968 member of the Association of Fine Artists (VBK) of the GDR, active in Meßbach and Plauen.
