View from a hill onto a water basin, surrounded by trees and in the background the Fasanenschlösschen, which is located in the castle park of Moritzburg, in the sky some small fair weather clouds, impasto, partly scratched landscape painting in powerful colourfulness, oil on hardboard, signed and dated on the lower left "Werner (19)77", on the reverse artist's stamp "H. Werner, Neucoswiger Str. 9, 8252 Coswig", titled in lead on the reverse of the frame "Fasanenschlösschen", somewhat soiled, framed, folding dimensions approx. 37 x 48 cm. Artist's info: Germ. Painter, graphic artist and porcelain artist (1928 Coswig to 2019 Coswig), 1943-53 apprenticeship as porcelain painter, from 1957 decorator at the Staatliche Porzellanmanufaktur Meissen, 1959-62 guest student at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HfBK) Dresden, from 1960 member of the collective for artistic development with Peter Strang and Ludwig Zepner, 1967-71 external studies at the HfBK Dresden with Rudolf Bergander and Jutta Damme, Werner developed more than 100 decorations, among them Blue Orchid on Branch, 1001 Nights and Hunter's Latin, also design of murals made of Meissen porcelain, 1973 Art Award of the GDR, from 1978 professor at the Burg Giebichenstein College of Art and Design in Halle, 2009 appointed honorary citizen of Coswig.
