Joshua Reynolds or successor, "Strawberry Girl"
Small girl with her arms folded in front of her chest and a basket of strawberries, looking at the viewer with interest, slightly modified motif of the Strawberry Girl by Joshua Reynolds painted around 1772, for example in our painting the basket is shaped differently, the bows show differences and the cropping of the picture was chosen somewhat differently, painting with beautiful treatment of the light, oil on canvas, probably 18th century, attribution on the reverse "from Sir Joshua Reynolds" (by Joshua Reynolds) and titled "Strawberry Girl", edge-doubled at the upper edge, retouching, some toned-down flaws in the painting layer, in need of restoration, framed, folding dimensions approx. 61 x 52 cm.
