bustling activity in the harbour against a Dutch city backdrop, low impasto painting, oil on canvas, 2nd half 19th c., partly indistinctly signed "K. van Hoom Copia" lower right, old label on the stretcher back, here titled "Motiv aus dem Haag" and partly illegible owner's annotation "Ewiges Andenken an Onkel Albert Beckmann der seinem Großvater Ferdinand auf dem Todesbette versprochen ... not to be forgotten in the division of the inheritance", craquelure, somewhat in need of restoration, originally framed in a splendid Wilhelminian period gold stucco frame (somewhat in need of restoration) with brass frame label "K. van Hoom", folding dimensions approx. 50 x 40 cm.
