Martin Luther, with two hundred and thirty pictures by Gustav Doré, fourth edition, first and second volumes, Stuttgart by Eduard Hallberger o. J.. [c. 1870], fol. format, two columns, [11] fol., 1236/344 columns, [4] fol, dedication to the silver wedding, dated 1881, handwritten chronicle of the Krutzsch family, mounted photos, textured endpapers, full gilt edges with red/blue ornamental bands, solid private cloth binding with wooden covers and elaborately decorated, red and black stained and gold embossed leather applications, beer rivets on both sides, two brass clasps, spine with small decorative rivets, mounted cross on velvet at the front, mounting on cover not quite complete, clasps somewhat deformed, partially somewhat spotted, signs of age and wear.
