KPM Berlin picture plate "Sistine Madonna"
Early 20th century, press mark from 1825, mint number 3 as well as month and year mark for 1909, oval domed porcelain plate with extremely fine on-glaze painting, hip piece of Mary with Child, after the famous painting by Raphael (1483-1520), signed lower right, partly covered Vetter? according to the consignor the Lauscha porcelain painter Gustav Greiner-Vetter (1879-1944), mounted in gold moulding behind passe-partout of burgundy velvet, otherwise in good condition for age, dimensions of plate 16.5 x 12 cm, dimensions of frame 35 x 30 cm.
