KPM Berlin große Prunkvase "Weichmalerei"
KPM Berlin large showpiece vase "Weichmalerei"
dated 1911, underglaze blue sceptre and red imperial orb mark 1870-1945, additional stamp Germany, embossed letter W, month and year mark as well as brush number 38 and 70, mounted in two parts, hemispherical urn form on a round base with square plinth, angled shoulder and short, bead-like stepped cylindrical neck, decoration of large three-sided floral garland with ribbon on the body and circulating floral wreath on the foot in fine polychrome onglaze painting as well as two circulating ornamental friezes in gold painting and gold rims, rare vase, the 1 cm long black colour strip on the right of the garland probably removable and remains of the black underlay at the mounting place, otherwise good condition according to age, h 29,5 cm.
