Artist's info: German painter and graphic artist (1875 Berlin to 1943 ibid.), initially trained as a drawing teacher, after receiving his teacher's certificate he studied at the Berlin Academy 1900-06 with Otto Brausewetter and Georg Ludwig Meyn, finally master pupil of Karl Koepping, from 1905 he attended the Great Berlin Art Exhibition, undertook study trips to Paris, Italy, Spain and England, 1914-18 war volunteer in World War I, kept close friends with the artist. During the Second World War he worked as an art teacher in Brandenburg.
