Artist info: German artist and art teacher (1924 St. Ingbert/Saarland until 2007 St. Ingbert/Saarland), 1943-45 war service and war captivity, 1946-49 studied at the Staatliche Schule für Kunst und Handwerk in Saarbrücken, 1949-51 studied at the Ecole des arts appliqués á líndustrie and at the Académie de la Grande Chaumiére in Paris, from 1951 assistant at the Staatliche Schule für Kunst und Handwerk in Saarbrücken, 1958 member of the artist group Zero, refused to participate in the documenta 1959 and 1972 in Kassel, source: Wikipedia.
