Probably a summer view of the Pirk dam near Oelsnitz in the Vogtland region, impasto landscape painting in powerfully luminous colours in palette knife technique, c. 1980, incised signature "G. Schweitzer" lower right, unframed, dimensions approx. 61.5 x 80 cm. Artist's info: German painter and lace designer (mentioned 1946 to c. 2000), son of the Plauen lace draughtsman and Burgsteiner Karl Schweitzer, active as art teacher at the Friedensschule in Plauen, source: Plauen address book 1950 and archive documents of the Burgsteiner.
