Artist's info: German graphic artist, painter of landscapes and still lifes (1898 Langenhessen - 1974 Werdau), first apprenticeship as a painter, mostly self-taught, war service in World War I, after 1918 working as a decorative painter, from 1927 exhibitions in Zwickau, Berlin and Dresden, from 1936 freelance in Werdau, 1938 trip to Italy, 1943-46 war service in World War II and war captivity in Oldenburg.
