Info: Maison Alphonse Giroux wurde von François-Simon-Alphonse gegründet und 1838 von seinen beiden Söhnen Alphonse-Gustave (1810-1886) und André (1801-1879) weitergeführt. Sie spezialisierten sich auf hochwertige Kleinmöbel und dekorative Kunstwerke wie Schatullen, Kerzenständer, Tabletts und Spiegel und wurden von der französischen Königsfamilie bevorzugt, was von der außergewöhnlichen Qualität ihrer Werke zeugt. 1867 trat Alphonse Giroux das Unternehmen an Duvinage und Harinkouck ab, die es unter demselben Namen bis zu seiner Schließung im Jahr 1885 weiterführten. Info: Maison Alphonse Giroux was founded by François-Simon-Alphonse and continued in 1838 by his two sons Alphonse-Gustave (1810-1886) and André (1801-1879). They specialised in high-quality small furniture and decorative works of art such as caskets, candlesticks, trays and mirrors and were favoured by the French royal family, testifying to the exceptional quality of their work. In 1867, Alphonse Giroux ceded the business to Duvinage and Harinkouck, who continued it under the same name until its closure in 1885. Important works of art from the Maison Alphonse Giroux are now in many of the world's great museums, including the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
