Frankreich, um 1780, Buchsbaum, überaus aufwendig beschnitzt, flacher langrechteckiger Korpus, reliefiert mit Rank- und Rollwerk, an der Unterseite mit antikisierendem Portrait im Tondo, der scharnierte Deckel mit zentralem Medaillon, welches eine Nereide mit Delphin zeigt, das Innenleben mit Horn ausgekleidet, dieses mit Fehlstellen, sonst sehr gute Erhaltung, Maße 2 x 10 x 6 cm.

France, c. 1780, boxwood, lavishly carved, flat rectangular body, decorated in relief with foliage and scrollwork, the underside with an antique portrait in tondo, the hinged lid with central medallion depicting a nereid with dolphin, the interior lined with horn, this with defects, otherwise in very good condition, dimensions 2 x 10 x 6 cm.
