Künstlerinfo: dt. Maler, Illustrator und Karikaturist (1863 Kempten bis 1927 München), ab 1878 Lithographenlehre, ab 1881 Studium an der Kunstgewerbeschule München bei Ferdinand Barth, ab 1884 an der Münchner Akademie bei Raab und Wilhelm von Diez, ab 1884 Mitarbeiter der Münchner „Fliegenden Blätter“, ab 1900 auch als Maler tätig, zusammen mit Ludwig von Herterich Ausführung von Fresken in Murnau, Ausmalung des Rathaussaals in Freising, 1902 Titularprofessor, ab 1912 Professor an der Akademie München, beschickt ab 1893 die Ausstellungen der Münchner Sezession, des Glaspalasts, die Große Berliner Kunstausstellung und die Ausstellungen in Dresden und Düsseldorf, tätig in München, Quelle: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer, Matrikel der Münchner Akademie und Internet.
