auf Flächen reduzierte Felsen in Grau- und Rottönen vor grau changiertem Himmel, leicht pastose Malerei in gedeckter Farbigkeit, Öl auf Leinwand und auf Hartfaserplatte kaschiert, um 1990, rechts unten monogrammiert, vorwiegend im Randbereich einige kleine Nägel und geringe Farbverluste, ungerahmt, Maße ca. 18 x 59 cm.
Künstlerinfo: dt. Künstler niederländischer Herkunft (1920 Angermund bis 2008), Kindheit und Jugend in Duisburg-Großenbaum, 1932 Umzug der Familie nach Nijmegen, Lehre als Werbegraphiker, Umzug nach Düsseldorf, nach dem 2. Weltkrieg Studium an der Akademie in Düsseldorf bei Otto Coester, Wilhelm Schmurr und Werner Heuser, 1949 Studienreise nach Paris und hier Bekanntschaft mit Pablo Picasso, Pierre Bonnard und Georges Braque, ab 1951 Mitglied der Rheinischen Sezession, 1952-53 Aufenthalt in Granada, in den 1970-80er Jahren zahlreiche Studienreisen, Quelle: Vollmer-Nachtrag und Wikipedia.

Reduced to surfaces, rocks in shades of grey and red against an iridescent grey sky, slightly impasto painting in muted colours, oil on canvas and mounted on hardboard, c. 1990, monogrammed lower right, some small nails and minor losses of colour mainly in the margins, unframed, dimensions approx. 18 x 59 cm.

Artist info: German artist of Dutch origin (1920 Angermund to 2008), childhood and youth in Duisburg-Großenbaum, in 1932 the family moved to Nijmegen, apprenticeship as a commercial artist, moved to Düsseldorf, after the 2nd World War studied at the academy in Düsseldorf. After the Second World War, studied at the Academy in Düsseldorf under Otto Coester, Wilhelm Schmurr and Werner Heuser, 1949 study trip to Paris where he met Pablo Picasso, Pierre Bonnard and Georges Braque, member of the Rhenish Secession from 1951, 1952-53 stay in Granada, numerous study trips in the 1970-80s, source: Vollmer supplement and Wikipedia.
