tropisch-fantastischer Garten vor weißer Mauer, im Zentrum Steinaltar mit rätselhaftem floralen Gegenstand, dahinter ein rosafarbenes Kleiderfragment mit aufgesetzter abstrakter, ohrähnlicher Form, für den Künstler typische verrätselte Darstellung mit zahlreichen kunsthistorischen Anspielungen und Bezügen im Stil des phantastischen Realismus, zu Baumgarts Werk bemerkte der bekannte Grafiker Theo Immisch, das besondere an dessen Gemälden, "die durchweg als Vexierbilder erscheinen", bestehe "darin, dass sie sich nicht völlig auflösen lassen [...]." Wesentliches "Charakteristikum dieser Malerei wie ihres Malers" sei "ihr Manierismus.
