No fewer than seventeen gentlemen from this family were active in a Kösen corps, including eight gentlemen in the Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg corps. The family provided a number of Prussian generals. With Jesko von Puttkamer also the governor of the German colony of Cameroon and imperial commissioner of the colony of Togo. Johanna von Puttkamer married the future Chancellor Otto von Bismarck.

farbloses Glas, Satz von sechs Pokalen in Lauensteiner Manier, runder Stand, umgeschlagener Rand, Balusterschaft, konische Kuppa, im Kuppaboden sieben eingestochene Luftblasen, auf der Kuppawandung über weißer Grundierung das sehr fein gemalte vielfarbige Wappen der Familie von Puttkamer in pastoser Ausführung, Standring und Lippe vergoldet, altersgemäß gute Erhaltung, ein Pokal Verso außerhalb der Malerei unfachmännisch restauriert, H. 18,4 cm
Nicht weniger als siebzehn Herren dieser Familie waren bei einem Kösener Corps aktiv, davon allein acht Herren beim Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg. Die Familie stellte eine Anzahl preußischer Generäle. Mit Jesko von Puttkamer auch den Gouverneur der Deutschen Kolonie Kamerun sowie Kaiserlichen Kommissar der Kolonie Togo. Johanna von Puttkamer schloss die Ehe mit dem späteren Reichskanzler Otto von Bismarck.
