Semenov-Tyan-Shansky (Vice-Chairman of The Imperial geographical Society) and Professor V. I. Lamansky (Chairman of the Department of Ethnography of the Imperial Russian Geographical Society).
The publication was not completed, 11 volumes were published, the 1st volume was published in 1899, the last in 1914, volumes 4, 8, 10-13 were not published.
