מרן הגרמ"י לפקוביץ זצ"ל - (תרע"ד – תשע"א) גאון וצדיק מגדולי הדור, נולד בעיר וולוז'ין ולמד בישיבות ליש ורמיילס. לאחר עלייתו לארץ עם משפחתו למד בישיבת חברון והיה לתלמידו של מרן הגרא"ז מלצר ומרן החזון אי"ש שאף היה שדכנו ושושבינו בחתונתו. לאחר נישואיו עם בתו של הגאון רבי אברהם יצחק גרשונוביץ ראש ישיבת תפארת ציון - התמנה לר"מ בישיבת תפארת ציון שם למדו גדולי הדור העתידיים הגר"נ קרליץ ומרן הגר"ח קנייבסקי זצוק"ל.
