Rabbi Shalom Mashash (1909 - 2003) was the Chief Rabbi of the city of Casablanca in Morocco, then chief rabbi of Morocco, and later the Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, for twenty-five years. He wrote many books on Halachah and Aggadah, and is considered to be the most important halakhic authority issued by Moroccan Jewry in the twentieth century.
