פריט מוזיאלי: מגילת אסתר עתיקה, בפורמט גדול. [שנות ה'ת"ר המאה ה-19]
מגילת אסתר נאה, בפורמט גדול [38 ס"מ], המשמש חזנים, רבנים ואדמו"רים. כתיבת יד סופר על גבי קלף . כתב אשכנזי קדום 'וואליש". [כנראה גרמניה, שנות ה'ת"ר המאה ה-19].
למיטב ידיעתנו המגילה כשרה, בפרט לשמיעה בבית הכנסת, אולם את כמה השורות המטושטשות אין לקרוא ביחד עם החזן, אלא לשמוע מהחזן בלבד. הלכה למעשה מומלץ להתייעץ עם רב.
ניכר על המגילה שהיא נכתבה עבור קהילה או עבור אישיות חשובה. הן בגודלה הייחודי של מגילה, והן בעיטור של אות גדולה הנמצאת בראש כל אחת מהעמודות. הכתב דהה מעט אולם רובו ככולו קריא בהחלט, מלבד מספר שורות בכמה עמודות בתחילת המגילה שנטשטשו מכתם רטיבות.
