בשער נכתב שהספר הודפס על ידי בניו ואשתו של הנפטר.
רבי שמעון בצלאל ניימן, נודע כתלמיד חכם מופלג, היה ידידו של רבי יוסף ענגיל ותשובות אליו מצויות בספרי חכמי דורו. נהרג בשואה.
