Provenance:
Private ownership, Germany, acquired from the artist's estate.
We are grateful to Ulrike Hamm, Bissendorf, for confirming the attribution of the present oil sketch. She dates the work from the immediate vicinity of Hecker's residential home to the second half of the 1920s.
