Thomas Jefferys (also: T. Jefferies, Jeffery, Jeffereys, Jeffreys or Gefferys; * around 1719;[1] † November 20, 1771)[2] was a British geographer, cartographer, engraver, publisher, bookseller[1] and printer[3] based at various addresses in 18th-century London. 1] During the personal union between Great Britain and Hanover[4], he was initially the geographer to the Prince of Wales and later, from 1760,[2] the "geographer to King George III" as the leading map draughtsman of his time (source Wikipedia). Despite its age, the map is in good condition, but has age spots. Dimensions approx. 43 cm x approx. 36.5 cm
