Large fetish figure, probably Songye Kongo around 1900
Stylized squatting figure carved from solid wood, with hands resting on the chest, mounted on a square plate. Slender figure with a long torso, the legs are only hinted at. The head is long, with a pointed chin and no recognizable hair. The eyes and lips are very large and stand out clearly. Height approx. 100 cm. With signs of age and wear, cracks.
