Three prints
Mixed lot consisting of: Valentin D. Preissler (1717-1765 Nuremberg), after Titian, 1755, Portrait of a young lady with a lace collar, half-length portrait from the side, mezzotint. Dimensions with frame approx. 36 x 48 cm. Valentin D. Preissler was the son of the Nuremberg painter Johann Daniel Preissler, trained under Bernhard Vogel, then joined his brother in Copenhagen for two years, continued the series of mezzotints after Johann Kupetzky begun by Vogel and published them in Nuremberg in 1745. A copper engraving, framed behind glass, by Martin Bernigeroth (1670-1733), a German engraver, showing the portrait of "Christina Sophia Olearien Geb. Albetin". Dimensions: frame dimensions approx. 30 x 41 cm, image dimensions approx. 27.5 x 27.5 cm. And a copperplate engraving by S. Kleiner, also framed behind glass, "Petrus Meyer restituit", around 1740, depicting the Empress Maria Theresa in a portico. Dimensions: frame dimensions approx. 33 x 47.5 cm, image dimensions approx. 25 x 39.5 cm. All three signed below, partially dated and with descriptions, as well as good condition with traces of age, staining.
