CHOCMEL KOHLER - CHOCOLAT AU LAIT
Porcelain sign / Enamel sign, convex, stenciled and lithographed, Vevey/CH around 1930, 33 x 50 cm, in recent years, one gets the impression that the rarities of Swiss chocolate advertisements have been "coming thick and fast" - and yet many differ in format and production - this small version of the Chocmel lady, for example, is clearly more delicately drawn in black, which makes the depiction appear more harmonious. Slight scratches are to be noted, gloss and colors are very well preserved - so there is again a nice opportunity to enrich your own collection with a real work of art of old advertising - here in Art Deco, designed by Charles Kühn, a master of his trade.
