Porcelain sign / Enamel sign, convex, thickly stenciled, lithographed, GER around 1900, 25 x 50 cm, an early advertisement by the confectioners Hofmann & Tiede, who had the brand name "Sarotti" protected as early as 1893 - the product is skillfully combined here with essential purchasing arguments such as origin and value - a (Berlin) bear searches for its desserts on the tree marked by the company monogram. This is the only example I know of in this variant - although the sign is also known with a green background and white lettering, it looks much more elegant here, especially in such a beautiful color quality.
