Saxon cavalry sabre
circa 1880, wedge blade with hollow grooves on both sides, both sides ornamentally etched with cavalry scenes and "Königl. Sächs. I. Ulanen Regiment No. 17" etched on both sides, (the decorative etching very heavily plastered), openwork folding basket with the Saxon coat of arms in it, small chipped area on the hilt, the guard hallmarked DRGM 246668 on the inside, all fittings nickel-plated, grooved bakelite grip, metal scabbard with one suspension loop, Z 3, l total 100 cm.
