The Clock Merchant
Packed with various wall clocks, selling his wares to a mother sitting in front of her house with her two children and her father looking out of the front door with interest, mixed media (watercolour, opaque white over pencil), mid 19th century, on the reverse of the frame an extract from a catalogue and inscribed here "Töpfer, Wolfgang Adam (Geneva 1766-1847 Morillon) Umkreis des...", paper browned, behind glass in gilt frame, visible dimensions approx. 22 x 30 cm.
