Rock standing in front of a stable, next to it a pan, colourful, detailed animal painting, oil on wood, c. 1900, monogrammed lower right "J. Sch.", inscribed on label on reverse "Julius Scheuerer...", somewhat in need of cleaning, framed, folded dimensions approx. 13 x 15 cm. Artist info: German animal painter (1859 Munich to 1913 Planegg), brother of Otto Scheuerer, briefly student at the Munich Academy, largely self-taught, member of the Munich Artists' Association, source: Thieme-Becker, Wikipedia and Internet.
