Farm surrounded by isolated bare deciduous trees in a slightly hilly landscape, charcoal, partly wiped on paper, around 1930, some tears and some creasing in the margins, sheet dimensions approx. 49.5 x 69 cm. Artist's info: German graphic artist, landscape and still life painter (1898 Langenhessen until 1974 Werdau), first apprenticeship as a painter, artistically mostly self-taught, military service in World War I, after 1918 working as a decorative painter, from 1927 exhibitions in Zwickau, Berlin and Dresden, from 1936 freelance in Werdau, 1938 trip to Italy, 1943-46 military service in World War II and war captivity in Oldenburg.
