elegante Dame im langen weißen Kleid, vor einem Gitter posierend, Arbeit zur 1900 uraufgeführten Oper Tosca von Giacomo Puccini, an der unteren Blattkante betitelt "La Tosca", Farbradierung, 1928, unter der Darstellung in Blei rechts signiert "Louis Icart" und links nummeriert "C 464", oberhalb der Darstellung Druckvermerk, gebräunt, hinter Glas gerahmt, Darstellungsmaße ca. 52 x 33 cm. Künstlerinfo: eigentlich Justin Louis Laurent Icart, auch genannt “Helli”, bedeut. frz. Maler, Zeichner und Graphiker des Art-déco (1888 Toulouse bis 1950 Paris), frühzeitig Hinwendung zur Kunst, zunächst als Modezeichner für die wichtigsten Designer seiner Zeit tätig, ab 1907 in Paris ansässig und verstärkte Hinwendung zur Druckgraphik, vor allem zur Radierung, Ausstellungen im Salon der Société des Artistes Francais und im Salon des Humoristes, ab 1922 zahlreiche Ausstellungen in den USA, unter anderem in New York und Philadelphia, Quelle: Vollmer und Internet.

Elegant lady in a long white dress, posing in front of a lattice, work for the opera Tosca by Giacomo Puccini, which premiered in 1900, titled "La Tosca" on the lower edge of the sheet, colour etching, 1928, signed "Louis Icart" in pencil below the depiction on the right and numbered "C 464" on the left, printer's mark above the depiction, browned, framed behind glass, dimensions approx. 52 x 33 cm. Artist information: actually Justin Louis Laurent Icart, also known as "Helli", important French painter, draughtsman and graphic artist. Art deco painter, draughtsman and graphic artist (1888 Toulouse - 1950 Paris), turned to art at an early age, initially worked as a fashion illustrator for the most important designers of his time, from 1907 based in Paris and increasingly turned to printmaking, especially etching, exhibitions at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Francais and the Salon des Humoristes, from 1922 numerous exhibitions in the USA, including in New York and Philadelphia, source: Vollmer and Internet.
